Verifiable credentials (VCs) are digital credentials (any type of document) that are cryptographically secure and can be verified by a third party. They are issued by trusted organizations and can represent various types of information, such as identity, degree, certificate, qualifications, etc. 

Decentralized identity is a system where individuals have control over their digital identities and can selectively disclose information to third parties. This eliminates the need for centralized authorities and enables secure, privacy-preserving interactions using blockchain technology. 

EvryCRED uses blockchain technology and advanced cryptographic techniques to make sure that credentials are stored in a tamper-proof and secure environment while remaining transparent.

The EVRC Decentralized Identifier (DID) is our developed digital identifier that allows organizations and individuals to create verifiable, self-sovereign identities without requiring centralized authority. Once we have created customized solutions for your business, you can create credentials from our given standard templates or create your own. You can issue them to users (holders), and a unique key/hash will be attached to each credential. These verifiable credentials can be verified by anyone on the EVRC Decentralized Identifier by pasting the URL or scanning the QR code provided by the holder.  

Privacy, safety, and security are fundamental at EveryCRED. We employ advanced security measures like blockchain technology, which makes sure that credentials are issued, stored, and shared securely. VCs issued by EveryCRED cannot be tampered with or hacked by anyone. So, EveryCRED is safe and secure to use. 

A holder can store their verifiable credentials in a decentralized digital wallet. They can generate a URL or QR code for specific information they want to share from the VCs and share that with anyone. The holder can also set how long it is shared. 

Yes, EveryCRED supports the revocation of verifiable credentials. When an issuer needs to revoke a credential, they can update the revocation status on the blockchain. EveryCRED's verifiers check the revocation status in real-time to ensure the validity of the credential.
